How Would I Measure This?

Good morning,

I have a part with a dimension that I cannot seem to figure out. I have attached a sketch. I can also provide more info if needed.

The dimension appears to me to be the intersection of the centerline of the part and the edge of a cylindrical slot (for lack of a better word) to the edge of the rib indicated. The radius of the cylinder  is .0275" and is measured with 3x circle paths.

The really annoying thing is that I was asked about this back in August and I was able to figure it out then, but I evidently neglected to save my work. Now, I am being asked about it again and apparently I forgot what I did and cannot figure it out.

Do you have curve? If so, scan a 3d curve down the centerline inside the "cylindrical slot". Then measure a line where the OD cylinder intersects it. Then you can use the Kink Point construction for the needed point.

Hard to tell exactly whats what, but are you trying to get the distance from the stepped face on the right to the edge of the cylinder?

Measure the cylinder. Go to Construction menu>Minimum or maximum coordinate, depending on how your part is fixtured on the CMM. Select the cylinder and the appropriate axis.

Take a point on your stepped face.

Caliper distance from center to center of the point and min/max coordinate (whichever applies).

Depending on your actual part, you may be able to get away with just using caliper distance and adjusting the min max setting.
