[Ja...]
Hello everyone, I have a quick question about a composite positional tolerance. I'm wondering about the second tier of this, where the callout is to only the A datum. On this part, the A datum is a freeform surface, which I have created a work plane in order to use this surface in my datum structures. My question is this: when I am setting up the best fit of bore pattern, do I check mark the boxes titled "Rotation" and "Translation"? I'm under the impression that I do for this particular datum structure, as the pattern is free to rotate and translate when only called to A. I have attached an image of the strategy and callout in question. Thank you in advance! 367 COMPOSITE TOLERANCE.docx

[Ca...]
Make two positional callouts. One for the top with rotation and translation not check. The second one for the bottom with both rotation and translation checked. Edited February
