[To...]
I believe most new computers on Zeiss cmm's come with 2 drives. Is anyone utilizing the 2nd drive with their Calypso? I am considering setting up Calypso to store inspections and results on the D drive, i.e. d:\inspections and d:\results. Should there be more? Any thoughts? [Ün...]
have C disk 256 GB / D Disk 4 TB I also store the measurement results (pdf / excel) and my weekly backups with Acronis on the D disk. There is 10 years of measurement data and it takes up 200 GB. This is my solution because the device starts to slow down when the C disk starts to fill up, and the Piweb database files also take up a lot of space because there are too many measurement records. 256 GB for C disk is too little for such devices

The D:\ should be used for storage and especially for your Acronis backup image. If you don't have Acronis set up or have disabled it, I STRONGLY encourage reviewing it again. While I have lobbied to increase the main drive size (and secondary), it is sufficient for normal use. Important factors to remember are to look at the Windows Indexing file size and, in the event you are very pressed for storage, the MSI files left over from old CALYPSO installs. [Ca...]
Hi Tom - There are a few different knowledge base articles that go through the topics discussed here: ZEISS Portal - Low Disk Space ZEISS Portal - Setting up Acronis Backup ZEISS Portal - Networked Program (or D Drive)
[To...]
Thank you Caitlin. Maybe rename the title of the last one? I saw it but didn't bother to look at it because it wasn't network drive. I already know how to do this but was looking for some documentation to help others. [Ca...] Posted yesterday at 06:51 PM Share Posted yesterday at 06:51 PM We have installed a 1 terabyte solid state drive. All data, inspections and protocols are stored there. On the base drive we only have the operating system and Calypso. Both drives are backed up at regular intervals. Our protocols are synchronized to our network.
