[Lu...]
Hello, I know it is possible to mask a characteristic from appearing on the report, but I have noticed that it will still show calculated in the overall result. For example, if I mask a characteristic from outputting to the report and that characteristic is the only one that is out of tolerance, the overall result will still list there being one dimension out of tolerance even though that dimension is hidden from the rest of the report. is there any way to also mask the characteristic from being included into the overall result? Im on calypso 2021 (7.2). Thank you!
[Mi...]
Commit to learning the Multiple printout, and this is one of the things that works better. To do it with the Custom printout, the only thing I ever found that worked was to set the Tolerance of the masked Characteristics to something ridiculous like
[Lu...]
If by multiple printout you mean the PIWeb reports (I'm not correcting you, I'm just making sure that's what multiple printout is, I'm pretty new) then sadly neither of those will work for my situation, though I very much appreciate your response. I'll probably just end up taking off the overall result if nothing else will work.
[Mi...]
They work if you make them work, and the warning is, in the not to distance future you will have no choice. So I highly recommend you learn how to convert them. My and my counterpart converted a few thousand programs in the last year.
[Lu...]
Please sign in to view this quote. By this, do you mean that newer versions of calypso do not support the custom report? Or are they just planning on not supporting the custom report in the future? Just so you know, I do want to swap over to PiWeb soon. i just am pretty new at the company where I work at so i don't have as much say in the matter as my co-workers. Though we will likely have to update calypso at some point soon and I think the custom report not being supported would help to convince them that its worth the effort to change over. [Ky...]
We stopped support the for custom report either in Calypso 2022 or Calypso 2021, if my memory serves. It will still work on legacy programs if it is turned on already there, but if you change those to PiWeb, there is no turning back (you also cannot change the template either). There is also no option to allow for the custom report in new programs.
