Hi all, I need to show in my pyweb report the lenght unit of measure used in the part program. I tried with the unit variable, but the field remains empty. Where am I going wrong?

What version of PiWeb are you in? I believe either the last two or three versions that is shipping with Calypso allowed you to append the unit at the end of the text box once you change it to Number Formatting.

The default K field for unit appears to be 2142.

${Qdb.MeasurementValue(1, -1)} ${Qdb.Characteristic(2142)}

I don't know which text box you are trying to edit, but this will get you the unit appended to the end of the Actual Value.

I added a box at the bottom of the first page of the report to add the length unit used in the part program (this is a request from our quality assurance office................).

Your solution it's ok but I think is more "clean" if this information is only in the first page.

Is it possible to use the 2142 variable in another field for you?

Tomorrow I send you an image of my first report page

You can place a text box anywhere you'd like. It's probably best to put it in the header. 🙂
