[Le...]
Hello everyone, I am trying to compare a CAD and a mesh file. I am following the tutorial I found online: How to Perform Simple Inspections in ZEISS INSPECT Optical 3D (3/5) Yet this does not seem to work for me. It seems as though the system hasnt understood that my Cad is my model how its supposed to be (soll) and my mesh is the current state (ist). When i try to use my first alignment anyway my laptop keeps loading and the page looks like in the picture I attached below but nothing happens and my laptop becomes very very hot. I have no more ideas what I can do or what my mistake is so please, if someone could help me I would be very very grateful!!! Kind regards, Leo
[Na...]
Hi Leonie, if the mesh is aligned already in the state of this screenshot, please try unlclicking the button next to "Ist-Element Automastisch". It will invert the surface direction so the comparison might not work or won't find points to compare. Lowering the search distance might help too - but this depends on the expected distance. If the prealignment does not work, you can switch to a manual alignment method, like 3-Point-Alignment for example. Nanno
[Ky...]
Hi Leonie, you can also take a look at the following tech guide link for introduction to aligmnents https://techguide.zeiss.com/en/zeiss-inspect-2025/article/introduction_to_alignments.html. that also may be of some help.
