Star Probe Stylus System Not Clearing Probe Rack in 1 Specific Bay

Hello Everyone,

I just started having this issue today where a commonly used star probe is not clearing the probe rack. When I do a manual change and I ask the machine to dock the probe, the machine traverses to the probe rack area and the #5 probe is hovering over the dock. The machine proceeds to start moving in the -Z direction & if I don't lower the speed/stop the machine, the #5 probe will collide with top of the stylus system holder.

Alternatively, when sending another probe back to the rack & having the CMM pick up the star probe, the inverse effect happens and the #5 probe collides with the top of the probe rack in the +Z direction.

The funny thing is that this condition only happens when a star probe is assigned to a specific holding bay. When I assign the probe to another bay, it works fine & how it should. Has anyone ever experienced something like this or knows a fix?

Thanks

You can set your approach parameters by selecting the pocket and in the "Changer" pulldown menu select "Approach Parameters"....make the approach positions the same at the other pockets that don't collide.
