Both CMMs have had issues with Calypso at the same time

This morning both our ACCURA and CONTURA have started having issues seemingly out of nowhere. Both machines were kicking the drives off randomly, now they are stopping mid program with "interface" issues. Calypso can be buggy but my usual tricks are not working and I have never had both machines freak out at the same time before. Any suggestions?

Seems like air pressure fluctuations could be the source of the problem.

Regarding the Interface Error that typically points towards a communication between CALYPSO and CMM type of issue. The fact that both CMMs started doing this at the same time seems a little coincident, could there have been some sort of network/security update pushed out by IT last night?

Not sure what tricks you've already tried, but

wrote up a really thorough article in the Knowledge Base about troubleshooting connection issues: https://portal.zeiss.com/knowledge-base?id=454224. I'm also leaning toward an IT-related change; surely this isn't a coincidence.

I vote network or AV causing problems. I actually got rid of Avast and stay with Microsoft Defender because it was causing issues almost every update.

AVs are overrated :-) I stay on Defender at home and i must say - i do much more dangerous things than at work.

This ended up pretty simple, still took a few days.

Someone had changed the sleep settings for the computers, in the past the monitors would turn off but the computer would function normally. They changed it so the computer went to sleep which cuts power to the network and graphics cards causing a loss of connection.

I will setup a new pc so i went around this settings - disable usb and network adapter to go sleep.

I am wondering - is there any guide to setup a new pc? Gladly i've persuaded highers up to keep old pc for my personal CAD work and a new one for measuring only.
