[Sl...]
Does anyone know what is the tolerance of ATOS Q with 170 volume lense ?
[Ma...]
We asked similar questions for ATOS 5, but answer will not satisfy you. It's mostly on CCD - 8M or 12M - and volume -> distance - according to MCAE datasheet you have these point distances: 8M: 0.04-0.15mm 12M: 0.03-0.12mm Into this comes many other factors reducing quality - like vibrations, stability of light, temperature and reflections. More into this can be found in "ZEISS Inspect" section of forum - similar questions. ZEISS will not tell you exact precision because of lens and enviroment. https://www.mcae.cz/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/HOM_ATOS-Q_Flyer_Download_EN_05_2024.pdf
[No...]
The point distance is only a small part of the overall accuracy. This value is more about the smallest details you can scan, but there are way more parameters influencing the accuracy of the results. The "real" accuracy is determined by the precision of the triangulation process (all points are located by triangulations between camera, projector and part), which further depends on the quality of the calibration, temperature stability, lighting conditions, part surface, etc. etc. Edited 15 hours ago

We are getting ATOS 5 for sure - now we have to force fit in training course 🙂 After training i'll be doing precision test against our ACCURA with VAST XT Edited 14 hours ago
