Ive created my AB Datum system, Created Envelope Principle,  Go through the onscreen window when selecting Position. As soon as i select circular and MMR, the the tolerance cylinder appears and is perpendicular to the nominal element. showing an outrageous deviation. Im about out of options trying to figure this out.

What geometry are datum feature of A and B and what DoF should they lock?

I've seen an example when less than 6 DoF were locked and it didn't work on Inspect 2023.

I think the problem I'm having is 2017 is throwing the tol cylinder weird due to the fact its not locking all 6 down. Its just two planes that are offset from points on the part.

In general it is not required, that all 6 DoF are restricted from the datum system.

I have try to build a similiar situation as you are described above:

Therefore to my understanding your problem is caused from some special problem in your constellation. Therefore please contact your local partner to get additional help. In my point of view if you and your local partner look together onto the project we can find the reason for the unexpected behaviour.

You can use a datum just for orientation ( "><" symbol to check ). But drawing should tell how to setup this.
