Hi,

I'm a bit puzzeled by this error message i just got while trying to make a video report page in my project.

I'm working on zeiss inpect x-ray 2025.

When I make a report page containing a video i get a message stating "missing data" on the report page.

Note : this morning i had troubles to open my project and had to use the help menu to restore it.

Seems like the file was too big to handle. i cleaned some data to lose some weight and everything is working fine in the project except this video issue...

Nevermind both of my problem solved.

1) Video error :

For those who might wander, this issue was caused by actual elements required for the video that were not calculated, even though I used the "update all" button.
I had to manually force update of all actual elements to make it work again.

2) Error MPROJ-0001 :
Project was saved on local hard drive, no server issue involved.

While making porosity analysis on plastic part, using the defect detection made too many results (arround 1400).
Apparently it caused an overload of data in elements/actual_surfaces000000.cd that could not be read by the software when opening the project.

That error caused data loss. Hopefully nothing too long to make again...

There were no warnings from Zeiss inspect before closing the project.

Hope this helps someone in the future because I couldn't find anything online.

Hello Thomas Joerger,

This is Stepan, Product Manager of ZEISS INSPECT X-Ray.

Thank you very for your posts reporting the issues and offering solutions to them!

If it's OK for you, we in the ZEISS INSPECT X-Ray Development Team would like to look closer into those issues (Update all button not recalculating all the elements and problems with saving/reading actual_surfaces000000.cd) to potentially address them in one of the next Service Packs.
Would you be fine with writing a short email to our ZEISS Software Support at software-support.metrology.de@zeiss.com and  servicesupport.software.metrology@zeiss.com?
Please just send them the link to this Quality Forum topic and ask them how to upload your project which shows those issues.
Having this project would help us a lot. But if you can't share the project - for the issue 1) - could you please share with ZEISS Support your Project Explorer overview and which actual elements have not recalculated automatically?

After that they will create Ticket for the Development Team and we in Development will take a look into it and address it.

Thank you very much for your time reporting these issues, we in the Development Team really appreciate it.

Thank you!

Best Regards,
Stepan
