Use cases Measuring Principle: Intersection With Mesh / Project Point Onto Actual

Hello together,

I've read the TecGuide and I'm aware of the differences, but I've never used the projection point Onto actual before.

What are the application examples for the projection point measurement principle? Does anyone perhaps have some technically correct examples for me?image.png.34d22528f5c6b98d3e9f7efa1f186082.png

You will get another reading when used intersection or projection.

Intersection: you will get point from mesh for given nominal point in direction of nominal point vector.

Projection: you will get point from mesh for given nominal point in direction of measured point vector.

This image is describing well what you get, but actual usage will be determined mainly by measured element.
You will get more correct results on plane with intersection, then projecting i think and i think it's mostly used.

But i am still learning
