Probing areas and missing teeth and a missing report

Hi everyone,

My next hurdle is excluding teeth from my internal gear. I currently have the exact location selected within the special menu settings, however, when I run the inspection through simulation, the probe is still measuring inside the missing tooth. I've tried moving the tooth and even adding extra missing teeth around the original, yet the simulation is insistent that there is something in the gap to measure. I am using the standard 4 tooth profile/lead and all teeth for pitch (which excludes the gap).

Additionally, after executing the program offline the default gear report is not being generated. The window opens and says there are two pages, but nothing is visible. I wanted to have the gear report attached to my PiWeb report from Calypso.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I can recommend to send your CALYPSO and GEAR PRO program to the ZEISS support to get help.
Without having your specific files any support or recommendation is just guessing.

 Hi Roman,

After stumbling around a bit I've learned a few things.

1. The GEAR PRO preview is still not populating. I've gone through the manual and it seems that it would be tied to Setup Evaluation > Evaluation on/off check box. Is it possible that the preview is not available in simulation and/or is it because the CALYPSO program is set to run from features list? Still figuring this one out.

2. The gear results are being generated once the run has completed if I were to save the file as PDF. I was testing the different PiWeb templates and was able to get the GEAR PRO results to attach to the CALYPSO report by adding a Picture View page into the report. Coincidentally, I found that you had mentioned this in another post:

3. My issue now is that the GEAR PRO results are also being treated as plots as well (essentially the same report being condensed to fit into landscape orientation after the full picture page). Is there a way to prevent these gear images from being processed as plots? I've tried combinations of marking and masking, but those didn't seem to do the trick.

Hi,

regarding #1 preview on/off is different from evaluation on/off:

#3 Either you get only the picture plot from GEAR PRO attached in PiWeb or you only want the numerical values from GEAR PRO in PiWeb or both together. Can be configured here:

Greetings Roman,

Thank you for your responses.

Regarding Item #1 - I had all of the settings selected as you had noted and I was still unable to see the preview. Turns out, I was able to get it to appear after clicking the "Scale to entire page"  button at the top of the window. I'm not sure why it wouldn't have been set that way by default, but it looks like it addressed the issue.image.png.ace56e5d125e2a9b8b6a2dbe2445185e.png

Item #3 - I've tried fiddling with those settings and I seem to have the same issue. If I want to keep the the GEAR PRO images, they are populated on both the Picture view and the Plot sheets within PiWeb. An alternative would be to rotate the Plot sheet to the vertical orientation and remove the Picture view page altogether. In doing so, the formatting of the plot page does not scale to it's new size automatically and adjusting the items individually is proving to be a challenge. Is there a formatted vertical plot page within the Calypso templates someplace that I could pull into my report?

Thanks again,

Don M.
