[Da...]
Hello everyone, Is it advisable to turn off the CMM machine if it won't be used for 16 hours, or is it better to leave it in standby mode? Thanks. Edited March
[Ma...]
I would leave it if it's like DuraMax and others. For optical devices, where your projector has hours i would turn it off. Except if your company don't want to pay extra for those running machines.

[Pa...]
We've shut our Accura's down no more than twice a year for the last 18 years so....
[Ma...]
It can be safely turned off. This used to be an issue with older 8-bit controllers, which were full of temperature-sensitive electronics. In modern control systems, keeping them powered on continuously makes no sense—it only accelerates the aging of the electronics.
