[MO...]
Please help, I imported a CT scan volume data , polygonizing shows as surface data and not as a solid volume. What am i doing wrong? Thank you in advance.
[Je...]
Hello Mol, this is normal, did you experiance/expect other results? Best regards, Jens Braun
[Ja...]
Please sign in to view this username. i would guess the expectation from Please sign in to view this username. was that the resultant mesh would be solid as per the real material. [MO...]
Hello Please sign in to view this username. , thank you Please sign in to view this username. that was my expectation. I was expecting a solid so that I can carry out volume inspection for porosity as in the image. So I still don't know what I am doing wrong that I am unable to get a solid for porosity inspection. I did create volume defect element from mesh and I still did not find a solid like in the image below and the coloured legend did appear on the image either. Could you please help me. Thank you in advance.
[Ja...]
the volume of the mesh nor the porosity calculation requires a solid mesh model . the software is looking at the normals of the surfaces of the mesh to generate the enclosed volume . it maybe that you are being thrown by the semi transparent visualisation of the mesh in this image ?
