Hi,

I think 3D+3D is at the wrong hierarchy: It should be inside 'Style new 1 (a4)', like 'Template'. Then it will use the master template frome Style new. If you drop 3D+3D onto the little guy symbol 'Style new 1' it should be displayed.

Hello Martin,

The situation is not so clear here, i have tried both templates portrait and landscape and it doesn't work in both, very strange why it doesn't show the Report title.

Hope someone can help here.

OK,

so your only "master" which will be on all pages is defined in top entry ( your user icon Style new (A4) ) and you have to make it for portrait and for landscape.
Only then it will be on other pages.

While modifying master template you have to be sure you are doing it on template and not on page.

I would suggest training or watching some videos which were posted a few days back

Did you drag a template from e.g. the System Style "Inspect"?
If I am not mistaken the "Report Title" element is located on the Report Master, which is used for the templates, and not on the "Report template", which uses then the "Master" -> if your new master does not contain the "Report title" this is the explanation

You might have to modify your Report Master.
The idea is:

  • Report Master: put here all elements, that should appear for all report (pages/templates) in the same place - normally used for Report title, Logo, Page Number
  • Report Template: everything else....

Hi Karin,

This is what i do:

1) Creating report style from the locked "Style (A4)"

2) copy all pages from same locked "Style (A4)"

3) drag and drop the copied pages to the "Style new (A4)".

Am i doing something wrong?

Create Report Style creates a new "empty" report style -> it is not based on the "Selected report style" -> usefully if you want to start from the scratch
Therefor no elements are placed on the "Report Master", also no place holder for the "Report title" or the logo (see image below)

So the only thing you have to do afterwards: Select the new "Report Master" and add there the place holder for the report tile and other elements that you want to have on each page later -> and you have to do this for the portrait and for landscape "Master"

If you want to have everything from the locked System style and just want to modify it,  you should think about using "Edit Report Style"

What you choose depends on your needs, maybe take a look at https://techguide.zeiss.com/en/zeiss-inspect-2026/article/general_manage_report_style.html

This is what i do but still the title from each page does not appear.

above i sent a picture of the steps i'm taking.

Even if i do "Edit report style" i don't have the option to add a logo, maybe because it's locked, i don't know.

If there's no video explaining how to do it, t think i'll contact local support.

Hi, you still look onto the Report template, but you should look onto the report master -> please select in the Report styles explorer the "Style new (A4)"

Maybe this video helps for better understanding:

  1.  I created a new report style (which has no elements on its Report Master),
  2. copied the Title Template from the Inspect Style (which does not contains the Report title) element (as this element is located on the Report master of the Inspect report stylw)
  3. and select the report master of the new created style and simply added a "Report Title" element - I changed also the background color for a better visibility

-> this element from the Report master is also visible on the template then
