[Ma...]
Good morning to all, I need to align a part that has perfect symmetry in Z, but I would like to align the various stages using the figure number on the same side. Unfortunately, the “disc caliper on selection” strategy cannot be applied, because I would like to find the outermost point relative to Z zero, but in this case the maximum point can be either on the Z− side or the Z+ side. Is there any workaround that can be used to achieve this? Thank you very much.
[Ma...]
I was taught you can export or see maximum model from all stages - but i don't know much more from head and i am not sure if you can do this evaluation across all stages.
[Ma...]
Excuse me but I didn't understand what do you mean. I have to took the highest point coming from 2 different directions. If the piece was only rotated around the Z axis thsi is not a problem, but in this case I have the piece rotated around the X axis, but I have to take the maximum point coming from Z+ and Z-. I hope I explained myself.
[Jo...]
Maybe if you go by point of maximum curvature on selection? The cavity number should include thhis point with the right selection of surfaces. Probably wont be the max point in z, but at least you can detect the side of the caviity number and with further checks get the max point in z. [Ma...]
Thank you very much! How can I do this? I make a section with the 4 zone, then I make a curve from this section (I found Projected Curve) and finally I tried to make a pojnt of max curvature, but it's not possible to select this curve. [Jo...]
Sorry can`t help you with that. I havent used this function myself yet. Just remembered reading about it somewhere (prob techguide).
[Ma...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Once you have a curve, then you can use measuring principle - Curve Curvture. Then you can fill that Curve
[Ma...]
Yes, thank you Martin and thank you Jochen, with Max Curvature point with curve curvature it works fine. Thank you very much!
