Good morning to all, I need to align a part that has perfect symmetry in Z, but I would like to align the various stages using the figure number on the same side. Unfortunately, the “disc caliper on selection” strategy cannot be applied, because I would like to find the outermost point relative to Z zero, but in this case the maximum point can be either on the Z− side or the Z+ side. Is there any workaround that can be used to achieve this? Thank you very much.

Excuse me but I didn't understand what do you mean. I have to took the highest point coming from 2 different directions. If the piece was only rotated around the Z axis thsi is not a problem, but in this case I have the piece rotated around the X axis, but I have to take the maximum point coming from Z+ and Z-. I hope I explained myself.

Maybe if you go by point of maximum curvature on selection?

The cavity number should include thhis point with the right selection of surfaces.

Probably wont be the max point in z, but at least you can detect the side of the caviity number and with further checks get the max point in z.
