GDT Position, Default diameter name

I really like the new GDT engine and the Position characteristic. I don't need to create separate diameter characteristics before using Position as they are created inside of the GDT Position characteristic. That's good. What I don't like is the default name it gives them: ^Diameter for Cylinder yada yada yada...

Is there a way to change this name? It runs into/cuts off on the results page anyway and just looks ugly on the report.

I believe you can adjust the default names here: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Zeiss\CALYPSO\data\config\NamePatternsDefault

What version are you on? I believe this was removed in Service Pack 2 of 2025.

Hi Richard. I'm using 2024, SP3. I put it in my sig line but it's not showing in my posts for some reason.

I think they disabled that. 

Either way - that change probably didn't make it to 2024. I do believe someone else posted a workaround.
