Ziess Inspect Crashes when I go to the set up tab to Configure Lens

I have been able to get the sensor I am using recognized by the software and the software will connect to it. I can not initialize the sensor however because when I try to it wants me to update the configuration in the setup. This makes sense since the lens setup and calibration need to be done. The problem is when I try to go the setup tab it crashes every time. I am unsure of what the cause is because I have confirmed that I have the up to date software and drivers installed. I also have a graphics card that the system has said fit the requirements. The sensor status is checking green and I have run through the web interface as well and the sensor again shows no problem. This all leads me to believe that this is a software issue rather then a hardware issue but I am unsure how to fix it.

Thank you,

Sam

Does the software crash as soon as you open the device manager or is after you try to create or edit something within the menu?
With any software crash it is always recommended you pull a GOMSIC after the crash and contact your local support.
If you need assistance with pulling a GOMSIC, The link below walks you through how to pull a GOMSIC.

  • 2 weeks later...

It crashes with me trying to do nothing more then go to the setup tab, what I guess is happening is that it is trying to initialize the sensor when you click the setup tab but the sensor does not initialize due to the software prompting the user to do the setup tab to configure the scanning volume and it does not know what to do. The odd part is that I have been able to get the software to let me go to this tab without any issues after it crashed when I returned with the system from travel. Now it is back to crashing on the setup menu while I am on travel. it is the same computer, scanner, and configuration as was used in the home office but when I go on travel this crashing problem occurs.
