[To...]
First time I’ve seen this. After performing a Ref Sphere Position, the left side does not update afterwards (manual or cnc). Right side does. Stylus qualification does update left side. Any thoughts?
[Ma...]
I was in impression, that pressing button "Ref. sphere position" will only update that right side - and because it's a master probe, that should be XYZ values zeroed, right?
[Wo...]
In reference sphere management you probably have the "update stylus data" ticked off.
[Za...]
Please sign in to view this quote. The Update/Do not update stylus data at definition of sphere position means that when referencing the sphere’s position with the MasterProbe the Geometry of the MasterProbe will be updated based off this sphere. An instance where you may want to set this to Do not update would be if you are adding a sphere for an optical sensor. You don’t want the MasterProbe’s geometry to change based off this optical sphere instead you want the MasterProbe to tell the CMM the location of the sphere thus the optical sensor can be qualified but we want the MasterProbe to remain the same. [Wo...]
The way it was explained to me was that your main reference sphere should be set to "yes" and any additional sphere should be to "no". For example I have an additional 8mm sphere to calibrate small probes and on that one I have it set to "no". Is this correct? I remember I was trying to find an answer even on the old forums and it was never really clear to me.
