Hi, what's the strategy for measuring the "CZ" position tolerance for the 5 cylinders indicated, using the Calypso 2020 release
7.0.12? Also, how is the deviation represented in piweb format?
Thanks in advance.

There is a CZ, so do a localisation / best fit, select the 5 cylinders, and the plan A as datum, and check translation and rotation alowed

Okay. This is what I did.
I'm attaching the settings (is it correct?) and the results, but I'm not clear about the report results.

Thanks

Hi,
....(like you did, it's the equivalent of 5 separate true positions)

Yes, I'm aware of that.
The three boxes cannot be selected simultaneously:
X translation OK
Z translation OK
or just Rotation and Translation
In all cases, the result is always the 5 positions.
This CZ is driving me crazy....

Thanks anyway

Hi,

maybe the cause is that you  have juste select plan A as datum, try to fully complete the datum (primary secondary and tertiary),  you will still have 5 results , but there will be slighty different between rotation/translation check or not.

and with full datum, I think you could check the three box. an other way to turn around is to create a secondary alignement, and re-call it in you localisation windows in place to edit primary secondary and terciary
