[To...]
The SSD on my Zeiss computer has crashed. I need to install windows10 IoT ENt2016 LTSB High End on a new SSD. I'm very comfortable with other versions of Windows installs. Has anyone ever done this ? Can anyone give me specific info on which version I need to download? I have tested the old SSD in another computer and cannot access files.

Can you give a little more description about not being able to access files? Can you see it detected in BIOS? Does the SSD appear in Disk Management but shows RAW or Unallocated? Or it it not detectable at all? Edited 5 hours ago

[Ab...]
Hello I would suggest contacting windows, to see if you can install a different version of windows on your SSD or same version, they can also provide you with the product key/license for your windows to install if you do not have that already . [Th...]
Do you actually need LTSB 2016 specifically? I don't think Microsoft is offering any of the Win10 images officially anymore, and LTSB 2016 end of support is in a couple of months. If you just need an OS so you can get a CMM running, just throw 11 Pro on it. Our IT department did that for 3 of our shop machines and it's been fine.
[Ab...]
i would also suggest, if you are upgrading the windows version, to make sure it is compatible with the version of calypso you are using.

Cannot view any files when SSD is installed as a secondary drive in a working computer. Disk management does not see it either. What do I use for a serial number? I assume the serial number from the case is only good for the enterprise edition. The computer is not Windows11 ready so I would probably re-load 10 Pro, but still don't know about the SN. I'm pretty sure you can still get the image. I downloaded earlier in the year so that may not be an issue. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 Edited 3 hours ago

[Ab...]
Hello I would talk to your IT dept, usually windows license keys are attached to computer motherboard. when you install then new SSD and windows again it might detect the license key from motherboard. [Th...]
I think licensing might be a problem. Assuming the OEM embedded the key in the firmware, I assume it is a key for the IoT enterprise flavor of Windows, and I think in order to get it to activate you would need to install that flavor, meaning Win10 Pro would not activate. Tom did show that Microsoft still has the Windows 10 download tool, but if that doesn't offer IoT Enterprise as an option then you might be hard-pressed to find it, as it was really meant for OEMs and system integrators and wasn't freely available to download. But, as Abbas suggests, if you have a company IT department then your best option is to make it their problem. Edited 2 hours ago
