[Ri...]
I am undergoing a path change for our Autorun programs, the path before was about 7 subfolders deep and will become 3 subfolders deep. Example: C:\Zeiss\Company Name\Programs\Another sub folder\Another sub folder\And another sub folder\Geezus\PCM Programs Will now be: C:\Inspections\PCM Programs I came up with the idea of editing the paths in the arn file, this was easy to do. Then I set my Calypso default paths accordingly in settings. When I opened the new Autorun arn file, all the paths were exactly as original, I confirmed the edited the paths in the arn file. Regardless of the path edits, I had to manually change all the paths in the Autorun system, which is a cumbersome task when you have 100's upon 100's of programs in different layers. Where else are the paths being saved for Autorun arn paths? There has to be another file or more to look at. Edited August 20
[Ri...]
Inside of AutoRun - go to Edit - Replace paths for Measurement Plans. There is a much more effective way of quickly changing folder structures. 🙂 2
[Ri...]
I have found using that interface was hit or miss. I have created the change and Clicked on the Check Mark and watched nothing change. This is why I attempted editing the arn file.
[Ma...]
I'll look into this - i think it may be same like with tolerance files - whole Calypso needs to be restarted. Perhaps just closing autorun can help. But i'll see tomorrow.
[Th...]
There shouldn't be any other path locations. I have manually edited the arn file before in addition to the path replacement tool without issue. I even made a copy of my arn file just now to change one arbitrarily as a test and confirmed that the change carried over to Autorun.
[Ma...]
In ARN file there is this [PATH :\inspections\Program 1] And also this [PARAMETERS :add: (#path -> 'C:\Users\Public\Documents\Zeiss\CALYPSO\workarea\inspections\Program 1'); So i think that "PARAMETERS" is more important than "PATH"
[No...]
I always did mass changes like this directly in the *.arn file, since the official path dialog is quite cumbersome and long paths are very difficult to handle. So I can cofirm there is no alternative place of storage, but you need to take care of which paths you edit, especially if it is a rather old and grown *.arn file. Apart from the paths listed by Martin, there may also be a variable #nameOfFile containing a path setting. I don't remember which was the crucial one. If you have images loaded to icons, there's also a path line starting with "PICTURE PATH"
[Ri...]
Please sign in to view this quote. There are definitely alternate path locations or something controlling this outside standard settings. On this particular setup, Calypso is set to start with Autorun. The Autorun path is: C:\Inspections\PCM Porgrams\Autorun.arn When I start Calypso, it somehow defaults to the original path: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Zeiss\Some folder\Some other folder\yet another folder\Autorun.arn When I say defaults, Autorun will not load the Desktop\layers because it is searching in the wrong path and generates an error that it can't find the file in the path: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Zeiss\Some folder\Some other folder\yet another folder\Autorun.arn It is ignoring what is in the Start setup. So, where else can the path be defined for Autorun paths to the arn file? Edited 1 hour ago
[Ma...]
Sometimes i got into situation, where only my account was loading empty arn file even i got into this settings and set autorun.arn. On your machine - do you switch accounts? It can stay from previous login.
