Moving the CAD model won't move the other nominal or the alignments

Hello,

I need your help, please. I had to modify my fixture so that I could scan the lower area of my part. Now when I change the 3D of the fixture and move the part to the new position, the alignments (I'm using local best fit) and the features (like points surfaces) don't move with the part.

Hi ,

I solved the same problem some time ago.

Move to new 3d data to same global coordinates as original if permissible under the updated data or edit existing elements to new 3d data.

Please advise if there is a more efficient alternative available.

Many thanks

Nice day.

Hello,

which function did you use to move the part? Is this in a Scanbox with a measuring setup?

When you are using a single element transformation make sure to also select the elements and keep in mind that some elements will lose their creation sequence with this function. Operations ► Elements ► Adapt Element To CAD... can help with som elements.

I used the set matrix option, and yes, it is a scanbox with a measuring setup.

The Adapt Element to CAD doesn't work.

But I did find the solution. Its easy all you have to do is select the CAD and all the Elements that you want to move and then use the set matrix option

It's easy; all you have to do is select the CAD and all the elements that you want to move and then use the set matrix option, but you need to recreate the alignment.
