Stylus changes physically, but doesn't change in software

Good morning, I have a new problem occurring on our spectrum III, running Calypso 2024 with service pack 5. Starting yesterday, when an automatic probe change occurs, user driven or in a CNC run, it will swap probes, and update in the the automatic stylus change window. But it will not change the probe that it thinks its using, the auto change window will show the correct info, but everywhere else will show the previous probe still installed, like the probe system qualification window. The system will continue to run, as if the probe change occurred, but using the wrong probe data. For example, if a program is using a 3mmx25mm probe, and then changes to a 1.5mmx50mm probe, the change will physically occur, and the CNC run will continue as if it has the new correct probe, but it will try and probe the next feature using the dimensions of the previous probe, meaning it will crash if the new probe is longer than the previous. If you do a manual probe change and tell it manually what probe it has, it will properly update, but this is the only way it will change. If I have the master probe in the machine, and do an auto change through every probe in the rack, it will do every change without issue, but the probe system window will always say master probe until I manually change it. Possibly unrelated, but my probes also no longer update the qualification date in the stylus system management window, but the date will update in the probing system qualification window. If i qualify a probe, the date in the stylus system management window will only show the last date qualified before these issue began. I'm hoping I might get some help here before I delete all the stylus systems and rebuild them, or put in a call to Zeiss, both of which will be annoying and time consuming, especially given that the CMM PC is not connected to the internet. Appreciate any help.

Update, I added a new stylus to the system as a check before I decide to delete and remake everything, and found that the new stylus will always be unqualified in the stylus system management. It will be entirely red with no geometry or quality values despite just being qualified and having values in the probing system qualification window. Starting to feel like I might be looking at the possibility of having to clean install calypso.

I have had a development. I have Calypso 2020 still installed on the machine, and tried that just to determine if it was a hardware issue or a software issue to ensure I exhausted all investigative options before doing something drastic. 2020 functioned without issue, so i figured something went wrong in 2024 and a clean install would be needed. But I returned to 2024 to double check everything before taking that step, and the issue was gone. 2024 had been opened and closed several times, the PC and CMM restarted several times, but using 2020 for a quick check and going back to 2024 resolved the issue. I do not understand the issue, or why that fixed it, but as of now the issue is gone.

I noticed when switching between versions You have to be careful with probes as it may be off something about how probe files interact

Are you using the automatic chip ID's?   To me, it sounds like there are probes that have been taught the wrong automatic ID.
