[Fe...]
Good evening, how can I calculate this angle? I created a theoretical plane by placing it at the intersection, but it gives me a result of 60° Any help is appreciated, thank you Link to comment https://qualityforum.zeiss.com/topic/27654-angle-70%C2%B0/ Share on other sites
[Jo...]
Check the complementary angle (20)°, to see if there is something wrong with your theoretical plane or if the angle is 60°. [Ma...]
It's turned part, so i would scan just lines in part axis ( as viewed ) For small lines i usually do points instead of scan. If curve is available, then you can scan curve - make alignment from bestfit of curve to have correct data for small lines. 1 Link to comment https://qualityforum.zeiss.com/topic/27654-angle-70%C2%B0/#findComment-156918 Share on other sites

[Jo...]
check this angle, so you see if 60° could be right. Link to comment https://qualityforum.zeiss.com/topic/27654-angle-70%C2%B0/#findComment-156974 Share on other sites
[Fe...]
OK thanks, as soon as I have the part I will check it Link to comment https://qualityforum.zeiss.com/topic/27654-angle-70%C2%B0/#findComment-156978 Share on other sites
[Fe...]
It returns a result of a 30° angle, so it is not correct Link to comment https://qualityforum.zeiss.com/topic/27654-angle-70%C2%B0/#findComment-156990 Share on other sites
[Be...]
I am unclear what you have tried that is giving you 60°. Did you measure a line or a cone? If you measured a line then what did you use to get an angle? Did you do the basic angle of the line? [Fe...]
Please sign in to view this username. As you can see in the image, I created a theoretical plane positioned exactly at the intersection and a 2D line, then I inserted them into the 'angle between elements' feature." [Be...]
Please sign in to view this quote. okay, have you just asked for projection angle one or projection angle two? The nominal projection angle should be 70°, and then the projected angle should match or be whatever the part actually is.
