Total Run/Uptime Tracking

My Quality manager asked me if there was a way to see total runtime/uptime for the CMM? I know you can track via each program but I need total for all.

How many CMM's do you have, and do you need this data frequently, or just this one time?

2 CMMs currently. we need the information so we can purchase 3rd CMM. im thinking one time for the year to date.

If you have an SMA, I believe this is something that can be seen by the Hardware team, I would recommend contacting your Aftermarket Sales Rep to inquire about support for getting this data in service of a potential machine purchase

Not sure if SMA is needed for that, but if you set up smart services (even the free one), it will show you some stats.

This is the basic path to CMM Observer files.

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Zeiss\CMMObserver

You can use the file: ProgramDurationRecord.xml

Parse it thru Excel and you can chart all the run time, up time, down time you need.

Its called "General Data" in Smart Services Dashboard. Did you have it set up? You have to have Zeiss set it up for your machines. If not, you have to fill out the form on smart services website, Zeiss technicians will contact you, you'll have to install smart services service on each cmm pc, and then when you login with your zess account to smart services you'll see that dashboard for each of your machines.
