[Ra...]
Had a customer send me a program I couldn't open. Their version is 7.8 and ours 7.6. In the past, I could just delete the version file from the folder or change version in notepad and save and no issues (usually) opening an new version in old. But not this time. Both are Win11 boxes. I looked through the program folder for default type files and nothing stood out. Is opening new in old not a thing anymore? Thanks!
[Ma...]
You can try out creating new blank program. Then copy into this new program files "inspection" and "inspset" and you should be able to open it. You can also copy model files.
[Ra...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Thanks Martin. I did try that but still same error. I actually then just tried the "inspection" only and it still errored same error. I'm thinking maybe there's some security stamp on the file from the customer as they're pretty locked down there with the IT department. Maybe I'll try copying and pasting the contents of those two files from notepad into my version and not the files themselves. Who knows!
[Ma...]
If you can share those two files i can look into them. Changing versions can be tricky - i found two mentions about versions in both files ( inspection / inspset ) - "changeswi" and "creationswi" Also in "inspset" file there is dictionary of converted versions. Feel free to PM me 🙂
