[Li...]
I've never understood why sometimes I get different true position results when I select a created alignment vs selecting each feature individually for the datums. Can someone please shed some light on this? I saw something pretty different today and don't know why. 505-1 and 505-2 are the specific "features" chosen, 505-3 and 505-4 created alignments. [Ke...]
This usually because the "specific features chosen" whithin the Position characteristic is applying Evaluation Methods (such as Outer Tangential, Min Circumscribed, Max Inscribed) to the selected features; whereas, when creating alignments, you must ensure that the correct settings are applied. 2 Link to comment https://qualityforum.zeiss.com/topic/27792-alignment-vs-individual-features/#findComment-157684 Share on other sites
