Hello,

when I try to use the tool "Arrange elements left to the element" the software crashes, no matte the hotfix since the 2022 version. Do you know how to avoid this?

I do also have the same problem, in my case this is what happens: create a new report page, select several labels, apply the tool that Javier mention and try to move the labels at the same time. By doing this the software crashes 90% of the times

I'd really appreciate some feedback to avoid this,

Thanks

Hi,

Jens already wrote that you must contact your local ZEISS support to supply more data for a deeper investigation.

Bernd

Hello,

I am having the same problem and I tried contacting support but they didn't get back to me. The software crashes most of the time and the "support file" generated from the help button is 58 Gbs so I am not sure what to do.

Hello everyone,

We also have big problems with the new software version. The software crashes when we overwrite report pages with tables.

We have opened a ticket, but we are still waiting for a solution. In the meantime, we are still working with the old software.

Hello,

I've had the same problem on two machines, but it occurred only on one single user.

I've tried to uninstall all gom / Zeiss Software, deleting registry and \appdata\local\gom / Zeiss and \appdata\roaming\gom / Zeiss as well, nothing worked.

Try the following before following the next step: Create a new user, log in and try the same. If moving labels works just fine, then the following step might work for you:

In my case the problem was finally solved by logging in with administrative rights, going to system properties, Advanced, User Profiles, Settings and deleting the account data (not the account itself, it's only the data stored at c:\users\%username% which will be discarded).

edit: be sure not to delete the directory by shell or explorer, or you won't be able to log on until you remove the account data via system properties

then log in with that user again.

It's a bit annoying because you have to backup all your data, but for my concerns it fixed it.

Hello Andreas,

It's good to hear that you found a way to solve the problem, unfortunately I have no admin rights to follow the instructions

The way that I'm working with the tool and avoiding the crash part is:

  1. Select the labels that are needed to move
  2. Use the tool to arrange the labels evenly
  3. Do a click to deselect the labels
  4. Select the labels manually again (the same from Step 1)
  5. Move all the labels at the same time

All of these steps while editing the report page.

It takes more time but it is what it is now I guess, I miss gom

I appreciate the help! Thanks
