[Cl...]
I'm probing points on two opposing planes, recalling those points into a symmetry point for a position callout. Does it really matter what type of point I use? E.g., Plane point, Touch point, etc? I ask because I'm having a repeatability problem. Thanks in advance. [Ma...]
It can have an impact. I usually do plane point(?) it should have fixed nominal vector, so XYZ is correct more than space point ( or that default one )
[Cl...]
I was using the Plane Point initially, but was seeing bad repeatability, so I thought I'd start there.
[Ma...]
Can you use symmetry point instead of two seperate points just to clarify if repeatability is bad only on 2 points then on SP?
[Cl...]
Good idea. I'll try that next.
[Da...]
In my experience, evaluation settings of the source elements have no influence when I use 'recall points'.
[Cl...]
I switched from recalling points into a symmetry point to actually probing a symmetry point. That gave me a more accurate width measurement between planes which I was also using the symmetry point for.
