Simulation is Z-

I created a program in Calypso offline seat and went to simulate it but it wont let me because It is trying to approach from Z-. All of my clearance data is Z+, I have never ran into this issue before. Anyone know a fix or where I went wrong?

Additionally, if those circled edges are NOT on the bottom of your cube, something may have gone wrong in your Base Alignment window, specifically with the direction of your spacial or planar rotation.

Flipping your CAD model may do the trick.

In CALYPSO: CAD > Modification > CAD Model Transformation.

You are correct, my block edges are messed up. I tried creating new base alignments and that did not work, I even created a new plane and that didn't work either. Any other suggestions on fixing the blocked edges?

Flipping the model will make it correct orientation but all of my strategies will be lost since they don't move with it, in addition to everything is still "Upside down". I typically don't create programs on an offline seat, I usually do it on a normal station.

I would say - now it's late.

What you can try is flipping nominal vector of main feature ( i believe it's a plane ) on feature editor ( +Z to -Z ) then open base alignment window and do some changes there.
I've done this - sometimes it worked. But firstly save program and then play with that - if it's messed up, then just reload program and start again with messing with features and alignment.

Next time prepare model to exact directions - if this happens on real machine you can always correct it by doing manual alignment.

I have tried that a couple different ways and times and best I could do was get the base alignment triad aligned with the simulated CMM and then manipulate the CAD model but then all of my strategies are inverted. Flipping the Z orientation on the base alignment plane did fix my blocked edges.

I have had this happen on a normal seat and doing a manual alignment helps get things aligned. What I might try is open this program on a normal seat and do a manual alignment on some pins to try and trick it.

This will solve your issue: Resources > Utilities > Set Base Alignment to Zero
And undo all the changes mentioned above first.

David, I had that checked already but that is always good to double check.

I ended up closing out of it and reopened it, simulated just fine. Fixed everything haha

This happens to me if I load the model into the plan and its flipped and I don't use "Modify CAD entities" and "Positioning menu" to rotate it to orientation that's going to match my base alignment. Instead I just take the surfaces etc. for base alignment and just use base alignment menu to chose axes. That's when the machine simulation is in the wrong orientation to the base alignment and it fixes itself after you run the plan once.
