ATOS scanner can show live measurements between target points when scanning?

I am using ATOS PRofessional 2019

What I am trying to do?

I have an object with two parts (1 part moves and the other part doesn't) with targets (circular black and white dots) stuck on to them. I put one particular target on the moving part --> I scan one patch --> then i move the moving part vertically up for 50mm --> I take another scan for the same particular target

Problem: When I move the moving object vertically up, I am not sure if I place it at 50mm vertical exactly- I cannot use any measuring devices to check that exactly- I can get it closer to 50mm but not exactly 50mm.

What I am looking for - I need to know if there is a setup on ATOS professional that would allow me to view the live distance measurement of a particular target point as I move the object with the scanner facing it.

Please do let me know if you have any ideas/ suggestions with respect to the capability of the ATOS Professional software/hardware setup. Thank you.

Hello,

it is possible to track a reference point or a point component out of several reference points in the "Live" workspace in the software.

There is an eLearning in the gom training center:

https://training.gom.com/course/45064

Maybe the direct help for the tracking point is sufficient in this case:

Regards,

Nanno

Thank you. I tried following - https://techguide.gom.com/en/article/cmd_inspection_measure_by_online_tracking_point.html I created a tracking point from construct option on inspection pane --> But the measuring principle is not activated to select the tracking point as per https://techguide.gom.com/en/article/cmd_inspection_measure_by_online_tracking_point.html

Kindly requesting your assistance, is there anything I am missing that doesn't show me the option?

Thank you for your support. I did try that. However, I dont see any measurements when I move the point- It just says tracking point is active but it doesn't show any measurements. Do you think I am doing something wrong?
