Tom, We have the exact same issue after update. It has the app engineer stumped and its being sent to Germany.

Yes, I'm working with a Zeiss App Engineer right now. We have 2 machines updated to 2024 (7.8.0001) that have the issue and 2 machines (also 2024) that don't.

When I load up Calypso 2023, CAD converter works fine. Calypso 2022, works fine. Calypso 2024, won't load convert CAD.

Also keep in mind that NX and Pro/E (Creo) both save their part files with suffix *.prt
So when in doubt, make sure it's the correct CAD format.

I was able to load both model types on my offline Planner seat. (7.6.04), but not able to do on machine (7.6.12)

Will look into Michel's post though I am not getting the "interop" error dialog box.

The CAD translator/converter/interpreter changed with no notice or even mention in 7.6.08.

I haven't ran into any bugs yet other than the one where it won't install automatically.

Hey All!

If you installed the SP CY 7.6.12 or CY 7.8 with the CAD Interop Server please also check your Graphics Card Drivers.

If you only got problems with .STEP (or any other files that need to be converted) and are able to load in files with the .sat format normally this will most likely be the issue.

Hello All,

Figured I'd circle back to this post in case anyone was still dealing with this issue.

Service Packs 7.6.16 and 7.8.04 (7.8.06 is now available) solved the CAD import issue.
