Hello Tom,

Unfortunately, I don't know if there is a way to hide them outside of editing the template. I thought perhaps that you might be able to hide them using the mark option used for characteristics, but it seems like it is handled differently. Someone else might know a way, but my best guess is that it isn't possible.

Thankfully, this bit of editing is relatively simple. All you need to do in the template is select the protocol from the page structure tab and then go to properties and turn off the subheadings.

I hope you find this useful.

Thanks Kyle. I am already the process of customizing the template so one more step is really not be a problem. I wouldn't bother if there was an "end of group" separator line. Maybe I should figure out how to add that, huh?

Update: The subheadings options works very well. Saves a few inches....er..uh..I mean centimeters, of paper....

Hello Tom,

I'm glad that worked for you. If you really want to add a separator line, I think the way to do it would be to delete out the items in the Subheading, change it's size, and then add a line in there from the toolbox tab. Alternatively you can probably also just make that subheading really thin and just set the background to whatever color you want to emulate a line, though at that point I would probably use the properties of the subheading to change the size, it strikes me as easier than using the rough adjustment on the size you get from the GUI....
