Hi,

Is there a step-by-step document that shows how to setup a Rotary table on the Simulation Planner?
I have never used one before so i have no idea how to set it even on the CMM.

Thank You,

Does anyone have some good instructions on how to use RT in simulation, because the workpiece is almost always way off from the center of the RT when simulating a run.

I can´t accesss the knowledge base.

This Document Focuses on How to Update the Location of the Rotary Table

Step 1: Launch CALYSPO.

Step 2: Go under Extra, setting, and then CMM

Step 3: Choose the machine that has the set-up ready for the Rotary table

Step 4: Check “Simulation” and click “Connect”

Step 5: Minimize the traffic light dialog box.

Step 6: Open a new measurement plan.

Step 7: Activate the Feature tab and from the Menu, select “Features”, then choose “Circle”

Step 8: Double click the “Circle”, and enter nominal data 320 for X, -200 for Y, -500 for Z, and 250mm for the diameter D

Step 22: Then, click the “show CMM” icon.

RESULTS: Notice that the location of the rotary table is at y= -200mm.

If for some reason the table is not centered, or you need to move it, see below:

There is a readable file called “rotarytableaxis_sim” is in the directory: (C:\Users\Public\Documents\Zeiss\CALYPSO\workarea\basesystems)

Open the file up with notepad and modify the “#vector” (x,y,z) values to position the table. The “#DirectionVector” (x,y,z) values should be set to (0,0,1).

You might also need to position the part CAD file in the normal positioning method. I would use the same X,Y,Z offset values that the RT is set to and then everything should line up.
