[Br...]
Hello, I was wondering if anyone had any insight as to what would be causing my 1mm probe to suddenly have its X and Y locations off by so much. Currently tested on a 1.4 inch ring and my 1mm is saying its out -.0090 in the X and .0161 in the Y.Capture.JPGCapture.JPG
[Ke...]
I would recommend checking your scanning settings, a 1mm probe is relatively thin, so may not like moving too fast during the ring scan. I would also suggest plotting the scan as a roundness plot, this may help diagnose any issues

[Mi...]
Are you sure of your alignment? Are you sure of the stem does not touch the edge?

If you run calibration, how much are differences between calibrations? -> possible loose screw with high approach speed Since reported diameter is "almost" same as it should be, there is no stem touch. I would try some calibrations to see changes on probe XYZ data. Then lower dynamics to 15-20% and perhaps probing force to 100mN
[Ni...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Have you tried calibrating both probes? Are you using two different spheres to calibrate both probes? Is the probe damaged? Is the 1mm shanking when scanning the ring gage? I know a lot of 1mm probes have a small Measuring Length. Feels like the calibration or the shanking might be the problem since its off by so much.
