When we select geometry as mode, even if we do not have perfect datum reference features (three perpendicular plane), it tilts the system and create a perfect datum system. However, lets say we have some reference features which have certain degree in between them, and we need to use these reference features as datums. In that case, then i guess alignment by coordinate system function would be much more healthier to create a datum system, does it make sense? [Be...] Posted January 17, 2023 Share Posted January 17, 2023 Hi, if you need the (more complex) functionality of the 'Datum system' to define your actual and nominal coordinate system then you have to use the 'Alignment by coordinate system' functionality to ensure an alignment which is based on these datum system definitions.
