[No...]
Hi! Ever watched a cmm walk the tightrope? These parts have a large deviation due to welding. To measure the part correctly I used the edge curve function. I just found out about this function when it was brand new - a couple of Calypso releases ago. Few days later I received an inquiry for this job. ☺️ With a little help from my Zeiss application engineer it turned out to be a cool job. Made the video for my clients and prospects so it's in Dutch. I'm sure you'll get the point nontheless. https://youtu.be/gPTf1dnNhRI

Would you please describe the process in simple terms? Thank you.
[Ma...]
As far as my knownledge goes i would scan side close to main path as curve, then use alignment from curves and then measure main path. I don't believe there is such function which would correct whole main curve by scanning side - it would just help with position and not altering nominals 😱
[No...]
I'm not sure, since I don't use Curve (yet) but I think it measures a reference curve at the sides and follows it when scanning the outside. Or something like that...

[No...]
Please sign in to view this quote. You could have Calypso make an edge curve automatically. By the menu Tom showed. That didn't work for my screws. Since I couldn't have the approach point the way I wanted them. Not for the edge curve that is... You can also have another curve as the edge curve. I copied the original curve that I wanted to inspect. Moved the points a bit and rotated them 90 degrees around their tangent. Make sure both curves have the same number of points.
