Kurzen L-Taster einmessen

Recommended Posts

Moin Kollegen,

Karsten

What is the length from the center of the ruby to the clamping block? L*2 = Minimum Reference Sphere Diameter
The probe must be able to reach the equator of the reference sphere.

(sketch 2) In theory, you could go a bit larger since there some clearance between the clamping block and the 5mm carbon fiber extension. I believe 8mm is the smallest reference sphere that Zeiss sells.

I am just curious, why would it be lower accuracy?

A ruby Master Probe has roundness deviation lower than reference sphere, right?

Google translate:

Hi Tom,
Thanks a lot for your great explanation!
Yes, it seemed we have to buy the RS-D8-C ( 8mm reference sphere ) to be able to use the short probe. It´s length from clamping block is only 5mm.
So I have to calculate if the invest of an extra sphare make sens. At the moment we measure punctures and inner radii with special measuring equipment. The idea is to have this manual work done by the CMMs at the same time.

It is always a great pleasure to exchange ideas with you experts here.
Thanks a lot

Karsten
