[Ro...] Posted December 16, 2021 Share Posted December 16, 2021 I think i would benefit from a basic class again, i think that i could relearn a lot of the super simple things that i have forgot over the years, or never really used at the time. Anyhow...... is there a quick way to rename a group of features? Like for instance i have a program where i have 15 holes with a counterbore, so in this instance i need to take the 15 thru holes, rename the 15 thru holes, then take the 15 counterbore holes and rename the 15 counterbores. I would like to in 1 motion rename Circle1 thru Circle15 to 150 Circle1 thru 150 Circle 15, then Counterbore Circle1 thru Counterbore Circle15dfsdfsdfsdgf.PNG Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Kinda like back in the old days, when the internet was mainly a bunch of forums and rooms i would tell people that Ctrl+W would fix whatever problem they were having, but it really just closed the current tab, and a couple seconds later i would see "Sebastien has left the room". Check "Activate Name Allocation", open the folder, Open the text file "NamePatternsDefault" and within that file you can change the naming of features you pick. [Ow...] Posted December 20, 2021 Share Posted December 20, 2021 I would like to take it over 15 years later just to see if they put such an emphasis on programing and running from the characteristics side. The instructor back then was adamant about programming from the characteristic side and his instruction itinerary/manual was some-what written to teach it that way and I might add with several bad German to English translations. We all think differently and maybe some adapt quicker but, coming from learning to program using syntax style programming focusing on features and stylus use, it was challenging and I ended up programming and running from the features side anyway, like most do. It was like telling me to plan a vacation around the world while prioritizing which places I wanted to see most regardless of cost and how I might get there. Three months later taking the advance and PCM class, the instructor was like, oh forget all of that. 🙄 That aside, The hidden game is definitely Frogger on my end.
