Use Offline Laptop to run CMM

I'm having a lot of issues with the PC running Calypso.
I have a Laptop with Planner, can I use that to connect to the CMM?
If I can, how?

Is it USB dongle license?

Not with the Planner licenses. I tried that when one of our workstations died and took the USB dongle with it. Planner won't connect to actual CMM hardware.

If the online and Planner licenses are dongle licenses and the release versions match, you can use the online dongle with the offline PC. To do that you have to copy the license file from C:\ProgramData\Zeiss\License\ over to the other PC. Otherwise the licenses won't be found.
