Graphic element in Calypso 2022

It's no longer located anywhere. Zeiss removed that menu entry in 2022. If you still need to create new graphics element entries, I think you can copy-paste them from existing programs and replace the features with whatever you need.

Correct. Zeiss removed a base function for graphical reporting in Calypso and replaced it with... something you have to pay extra for in order to customize it.

This is not a very customer-centric move in my opinion.

Graphic Element, Basic Reporter (PiWeb 5.0): Latest version: CALYPSO 5.0
Development stopped March 8, 2013
Replacement: PiWeb Reporting (Standard in CALYPSO)
You can do much more with PiWeb Reporting (standard since CALYPSO 2015) than with the graphic element from 2013
Various examples (reporting / reporting plus) attached
Note: If you have more than 10 measured values and statistical evaluations, you need the reporting plus option

You can still do graphic elements (which was the original question) with PiWeb Reporting, which is free/built-in to Calypso 6.0 and higher.

People can choose to pay for more functionality with PiWeb Reporting Plus, but the production of form plots is still available to any user.

Guenter,
Thank you for sharing that example. It is an impressive template and gives a good overview of what is possible with PiWeb. I wonder if there are ways to make that type of rich reporting experience more accessible to users.

Laura, you are right. The Graphic Element is still available.

I feel that some of the features in Reporting Plus should be standard with the base Reporting version, but this is just my opinion. Perhaps I will have a better perspective of PiWeb after I take the Live-Online training in March '23 hosted by Zeiss.

I'm also organizing a PiWeb Reporting/Reporting Plus online workshop in the new year. As everyone knows here I'm a huge PiWeb fan, the goal of the workshop is to help people capitalize on what they already have built into Calypso in a very approachable way. I am building my agendas currently but will be coordinating dates soon. Will keep everyone posted. The structure I am imagining is held over 4-5 weeks, once a week for 2 hours. Live on-line via Zoom or similar platform.

Hi everyone,

I have organized a Free weekly workshop to learn about using PiWeb Reporting / PiWeb Reporting Plus.

Please keep in mind, I work for the Canadian ZEISS distributor Elliott Machinery, I do not work for ZEISS directly. This workshop was created to provide our customer base with some extra tips and tricks and build confidence using their reporting software. Given my involvement in the forum discussions, I'm happy to open this up to forum users as well.

This is not meant to replace the dedicated Calypso PiWeb Reporting training classes that ZEISS offers:
https://www.zeiss.com/metrology/service ... ation.html

I took some time to review my most-asked PiWeb questions and have created a 5 week workshop to cover these topics and tasks.

The workshop starts on Wednesday, March 1st, ending on Wednesday, March 29th. It will be a 1.5 hour to 2 hour session every Wednesday at 1pm Eastern.

It will be a new topic every week, once a week, for 5 weeks.

In order to immediately use the benefits from the topics covered, you would have a version of Calypso higher than 6.0, ideally higher than 6.4 for some specific topics.

Register to attend via this link: https://us1.list-manage.com/survey?u=fb ... 56965ea62e

I’ll be hosting them via Zoom. You’ll need internet access on your computer to join, and some way of hearing the conversation. You can use headphones on your computer, speakers, or dial in using your phone.

Week 1
Exploring PiWeb Reporting Plus standalone app, default templates and modifying your report header. Using what you already have available to you!

Week 2
Creating a CAD-based report (part storytelling)

Week 3
Creating your own table-style report and export to Excel

Week 4
Create an SPC report including information such as Cp, Cpk, Min/max/range etc.
This requires PiWeb Reporting Plus

Week 5
How to execute and configure Gauge R&Rs
This requires PiWeb Reporting Plus

Once you enroll, I’ll reach out to you in the coming weeks leading up to the sessions with your Zoom invites. Any materials, notes, or resources needed for a session will be emailed to you directly on the Monday beforehand.
