[To...]
I'm using SolidWorks 2020 and when I load to Calypso 2020, I am getting error below. When I save as a STEP model, I get the same message. I was successful loading an earlier iteration of the model but for some reason, it is choking now. Any thoughts?Screenshot 2022-03-03 095841.jpgScreenshot 2022-03-03 100016.jpg
[Th...]
I've run into this too, on occasion. Doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it, but some models I export out of our CAD software have thrown this on 2020. Only happened a couple of times on .16, and I have yet to install .20, though I don't see anything in the changelog suggesting this got fixed. Seems like a regression in the import module, so it's probably ticket time.
[To...]
I noticed the file was saved in folder that is part of our OneDrive cloud system. When I saved the file to my desktop, making sure it was local, the model opened up as expected. I'm guess there may be a delay in the availability from the OneDrive folder. The error messages state "there are no supporting files". I'll refresh the syncing of the location where the original file is stored and see what happens. [To...]
I thought I posted an update but apparently not. The issue was related to the fact that I was unknowingly saving the CAD model to my OneDrive. When I was loading the CAD model into Calypso, I was using the local version that may not have synced with online version. When I saved the model directly to my local drive, it worked fine. [To...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Thank you Michal. I was having issue with both native SolidWorks and STEP files. I posted an update. What version of Calypso are you running? Renaming STEP to STP has not been required for many years.
[Mi...]
Hello Tom, We running on Calypso 7.0 and 7.2 and on both is still same problem with converting STEP to SAB. In case when i use Convert CAD files on background. This is how it happens in my case. We've Calypso offline planer with CATPart, STP option. There we convert all data to SAB for other Calypso station.

[Br...]
Hi Tom, Cad packages are always behind 1 version from Calypso. If you use a 2019 Solidworks model, it will import into 2020 calypso.
