[Ün...]
Hello I am trying to support a neighboring company. We're having trouble creating point C1 in the gutter. We align with a point on R22, but it is not healthy. And that's causing problems with our profile measurement. The points we take in the profile measurement (right side) should be close to the C1 point, but we see a difference of -0.1. and even though we intervene in the machine, this -0.1 value never changes. Therefore, we suspect point C1. The customer is measuring with a Hexagon device and the points taken by him in the profile are exactly on the point C1 (as our reference is exactly C1) Where do we go wrong and what do we miss while creating this point C1? [Wa...]
It looks like you are using a touch point for C1. I would try a Space point or a plane point in your perpendicular.Capture.PNG
[Da...]
Check the small face as a plane(3-4 points). This will correct the vector angle, normal to the plane. Then create a theoretical circle (44) now use the intersection of the 2 to create the C1 point. Use the intersection as the C1 point, don't try to create a perp to the point. [To...]
If you go into CAD - Creating features...., at bottom, enter X0, Y22 and the desired Z depth and click Space point, Calypso will put a space point as close as possible to the entered data. I say as close as possible, because the engineer may have rounded values.Screenshot 2023-01-27 090345.jpg

[Ün...]
I didn't search in the forum, but can we convert Hexagon program to calypso?
[Da...]
Try what Tom said. Does the dialed in space point use the correct vector ?

[Ri...]
My opinion would be that since the Angular dimensioning line comes off of C1 as it was rotated, I think that the point vector should be normal to the surface, not normal to the axis. In other words, the point vector for C1 should be perpendicular to the Datum C Line shown, not perpendicular to the section C-C line shown.
