[Ch...] Posted June 22, 2022 Share Posted June 22, 2022 This is usually implemented in Calypso by using a profile or line profile, and choosing the tolerance method "Outward to infinity". Then input your tolerance as the distance between the nominal slot and the boundary. But, ASME also allows for positonal tolerance not only as a refinement for a profile, but also as a call-out for "noncircular features of size", where 10.4.5.1 (c) explicitly mentions the use of the word "BOUNDARY" (although it is not neccessary). So, yes, the positional tolerance can be used on a slot as a noncircular feature of size, it works like a position with the MMC as a boundary that must not be violated.
