How can I check this true question for a slot, it has been asked for the boundary. Here true position control the surface of slot and no portion of the slot should not be inside the virtual condy boundary, but how can I check this in calypso and how can I change the tolerance zone??

This is usually implemented in Calypso by using a profile or line profile, and choosing the tolerance method "Outward to infinity". Then input your tolerance as the distance between the nominal slot and the boundary.

Shabu,

According to ASME Y14.5, the position control you listed is not acceptable, and as Patrick stated, should be replaced with profile.

According to Y14.5 Section 10.1:

The recent ASME Y14.5-2018 states in paragraph "11.8 Combined Controls":

But, ASME also allows for positonal tolerance not only as a refinement for a profile, but also as a call-out for "noncircular features of size", where 10.4.5.1 (c) explicitly mentions the use of the word "BOUNDARY" (although it is not neccessary).

So, yes, the positional tolerance can be used on a slot as a noncircular feature of size, it works like a position with the MMC as a boundary that must not be violated.
