Symmetry Plane

Second question. Unlike 2 parallel planes, it seems these 2 planes could control translation in the Y axis, though I don't believe the customer is expecting this as they are using a cone in the center of the part as Datum C.

I think they should probably use the cone as Datum B and the Symmetry as Datum C....

If they want to take only rotation from that symmetry plane then i would pick cone as C too.

Many times they make datums as they are used on machining fixtures.

One question - how you handle circles, cylinders and cones if you have less then 180° on ASME?
