[Gu...]
Pdf is ok but not interactive. Please check the concept for "automated error analysis" with reporting in CALYPSO 2022. See video at approx. 1:35:00. https://e.video-cdn.net/video?video-id= ... l-id=87496 Can be used as a CALYPSO single-user solution with PiWeb reporting/reporting plus or as a server solution with PiWeb sbs ZEISS Portal => ZEISS Academy => Tutorials: https://portal.zeiss.com/academy/video-tube/imt
[Da...]
Good morning , An interactive report sounds great! however the internet police at my work have blocked me from watching either of the videos. I would like to know , is the size of the record much larger than a PDF, and is it suitable as a permanent record ?
[Je...]
Please sign in to view this quote. . Guenter, This is a very innovative idea. I appreciate the effort to make the software smarter. Is there a free PiWeb viewer application that my customers, both inside customers (machinists, etc.) and outside customers, can download in order to view the interactive report? Nearly all of Zeiss's competitors have a free interactive viewer application, and GOM provides one as well. .

I use batch files to copy from main results folder to folder that the operators can access. That's basically it. I like things simple and didn't want to make it "too smart". We still allow the operators to select the report and access their old data. No need to get fancy.

[Jo...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Hello Jeff, PiWeb does offer a free viewer which is basically a limited version of PiWeb Monitor. I think however for your application, especially with the use case of bringing results to the shop floor can be combined very well with interactive reports. In PiWeb 8.2 which was released earlier this year we also came out with a tool set if you are working with ballooned drawings. We will be giving a webinar on this later this year but if you are interested I can send you a presentation in advance 🙂

Maybe someone in your company has already the solution or the knowledge, We send everything to an SQL server (also PDF and zmp files) and we have global access to the data, when we have hundreds (or thousands) of measurements we just sort values by the maximum deviation. The advantage of have a local solution is that basically you implement everything you need, however there are also many disadvantages like the risk to lose the developer(s). viewtopic.php?p=28558#p28558

Does a company need to have PiWeb Monitor or a machine serial number in order to download this? Can I point my customers who do not have PiWeb or Zeiss machines to this viewer? Thanks. . [Ja...]
A Pi-Web viewer would be interesting to look into. right now we use pi-web sbs and seats would get on the expensive side getting so many.
[Is...]
I have the impression that there is nothing really free.. since I know every Monitor license is around $1500, is also possible to negotiate the cost by package and there are also floating licenses.. BTW, we have some Piweb Licences and in general we still don't like it.

The interactive report is not accessible to my customers. It's like buying a fancy sportscar to show off at parades but never allowing it to leave the garage. There is no free PiWeb viewer. [Jo...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Hello Eric, A PiWeb monitor viewer is available starting in our last release 8.0, and is available to all PiWeb sbs / enterprise customers. If a customer wants to use this functionality, they simply need to install PiWeb Monitor on a PC without a license using the general PiWeb installer. (There is no separate installer or option for the viewer). If a license is not found on the PC, PiWeb Monitor will start in a limited "viewer" mode instead of throwing a license exception. If you have any further questions or feedback, feel free to reach out to me directly. josh.smokovitz@zeiss.com

[Jo...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Hello Jeff, Yes, a person without SBS/Enterprise can use the viewer. However, with the viewer, the viewer does not allow the user to make any configuration, change data binding or search criteria. If the reports are sent preconfigured to an end user of the viewer, then yes, this would work.
